Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 15, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Level Up My Play (“we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) on our website and apps. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. In short: we use only what we need to run the service and to keep it reliable, and we do not use third-party advertising or marketing cookies.

1. What cookies and local storage are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. “Local storage” is a related browser feature that lets a site save small amounts of data on your device. We use both for the limited, functional purposes described below. They are not used to build advertising profiles or to track you across other websites.

2. Strictly necessary (always on)

These are required for the Platform to work. The site cannot function properly without them.

  • Authentication / session— set by our authentication provider (Supabase) to keep you securely signed in.
  • Timezone (tz)— remembers your timezone so session and booking times display correctly. Stored for up to one year.
  • Early-access gate (lump_preview)— used only during our temporary pre-launch / early-access period to remember that you have early access. It is removed once the platform is open to everyone.
  • Payments (Stripe)— when you check out, Stripe sets cookies needed to process the payment securely and to prevent fraud.

3. Functional (stored on your device)

These improve your experience and are stored in your browser's local storage rather than as traditional cookies. You can clear them at any time through your browser settings.

  • Your location (when searching)— if you choose “Use my location” to find nearby coaches, your coordinates are saved on your device onlyto sort and filter results. We do not store a searcher's precise location on our servers. (Coaches and clubs separately choose a venue location for their listing, which isstored on our servers to place them on the map — see our Privacy Policy.)
  • Map tiles— map images are cached briefly to make maps load faster and reduce data use.
  • Dismissed notices— we remember when you close an announcement or the cookie banner so it doesn't reappear every visit.
  • Push notifications (mobile apps only)— on our native apps, a device token is stored to deliver notifications you have opted into. This is a device identifier, not a cookie.

4. Analytics and error monitoring

We use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how the Platform is used and to fix problems. These do not set advertising cookies and are not used for marketing.

  • Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights— collect anonymised usage and performance metrics. They are cookie-less by design.
  • Sentry(when enabled) — captures technical details about errors so we can fix bugs. Form inputs are masked by default.

5. No advertising cookies

We do not use third-party advertising or marketing cookies, ad pixels, or cross-site tracking trackers, and we do not sell or rent your personal information. Some third-party services we rely on (for example, Stripe) set their own cookies under their own privacy policies for security and payment processing only.

6. Managing cookies

You can control or delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings, and you can block non-essential storage there. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may break core features such as signing in or completing a payment.

7. Changes and contact

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time; we will update the “Last updated” date above when we do. Questions? Email [email protected].
